Why schema markup matters

Schema markup helps AI platforms and search engines understand who you are and where you operate — not just what your page happens to say in HTML.

Without it, answer engines guess from messy markup, and they often guess wrong. JSON-LD gives them an explicit description of your business, location, products, or FAQs — the same signals that power rich results in classic search and clearer citations in AI answers.

How to use it: where the markup goes

Paste the generated JSON-LD script into your site so crawlers can read it with the page. On most builders that means header injection or an SEO app:

  • Wix

    Settings → Custom code (or SEO → Structured data apps). Paste the JSON-LD script in the head / body as your plan allows.

  • Shopify

    Online Store → Themes → Edit code, or an SEO app that injects structured data. Paste the script near the top of the theme layout.

  • Squarespace

    Settings → Advanced → Code Injection (header), or page-level code blocks where available. Paste the full script tag.

  • Self-hosted / WordPress

    Add the script in your theme head, a custom HTML block, or an SEO plugin’s schema / header field.
