VS Code can connect to Beamtrace over MCP so Copilot Chat answers visibility questions in the same panel where you review diffs. Helpful when content, markdown, or SEO files live beside application code.
Validate content edits against tracked prompts
Before you commit docs or marketing pages, ask whether the change maps to a prompt where you are missing or losing mentions. Copilot can suggest additions using competitor context from Beamtrace.
Tie engineering tasks to visibility impact
When grooming issues, ask which Beamtrace improvements align with the modules in your workspace. Prioritize structured data, routing, or copy tasks that move metrics on prompts you already track.
Set up
Connect VS Code to the shared Beamtrace MCP endpoint, then authorize with your Beamtrace account when prompted.

Manual setup
- Open the Command Palette → MCP: Add Server → HTTP.
- Paste the URL below and set the server ID to
beamtrace. - Open MCP: List Servers → select Beamtrace → Start Server, then complete sign-in when prompted.

Connected apps and their status are listed in Integrations in your dashboard, where you can disconnect access at any time.
