Use Zed’s assistant with live visibility data
Zed can connect to Beamtrace over MCP so the in-editor assistant answers questions about topic trends and competitor context while you edit site files. Metrics stay one prompt away from your buffer.
Research a prompt gap before you edit
When a page underperforms in AI answers, ask Zed which competitors appear on that prompt and what angles they use. Shape your edit with that context still visible in the assistant thread.
Draft marketing copy with metric-backed angles
Have Zed propose headlines or FAQ entries for prompts where you are missing, using Beamtrace data for the competitive set. Iterate on copy in Zed without losing sight of the underlying ranks.
Set up
Connect Zed to the shared Beamtrace MCP endpoint, then authorize with your Beamtrace account when prompted.
- Open Settings → AI → MCP Servers → Add Server → Add Remote Server.
- Paste the URL below (leave Authorization empty so Zed can use OAuth).

Connected apps and their status are listed in Integrations in your dashboard, where you can disconnect access at any time.
Requirements
- A Beamtrace workspace with at least one tracked website.
- Zed with MCP servers enabled.
